Toronto Blue Jays relief pitcher Joe Biagini was given a second chance to complete a high-five with The Tonight Show’s Jimmy Fallon after a botched one made it to air this week.

Fallon said he was inundated with tweets about the botched high five that happened at the end of one of his shows. Biagini can be seen with his hand up while Fallon grazes it before continuing on.

“I felt bad, I thought maybe, ‘Well who knows, maybe he’s not that athletic,’” said Fallon on a following episode. “I looked him up and it turns out not only is he athletic, he’s a relief pitcher for the Toronto Blue Jays.”

Biagini was then invited back to the show for a second chance at a high five with the late night host. The two built up the moment before settling into a 10-second-long freeze-frame style high-five to the tune of Joe Esposito’s You’re the Best.

Blue Jays players and fans took to social media after the spot calling Biagini the “funniest man in baseball” and “an absolute legend.”

Biagini is known for his quirky post-game interviews and for going in for a hug with teammates and reporters.
