On July 12, the Hard Rock International's free outdoor music festival will take place in the Italian capital for the first time.

After hosting Hard Rock Calling in London eight years in a row, Hard Rock International is introducing a new outdoor music festival in 2014. Taking place at the Piazza Del Popolo, a stone's throw from the city's famous Colosseum, Hard Rock Live Rome promises to be a unique experience.

More than ten bands will perform on the festival's two stages for an estimated 40,000 audience members from all over Italy. With over six hours of shows altogether, the festival will feature renowned bands as well as up-and-coming young artists.

Among the headliners announced are Italian band Negramaro, whose album "Mentre Tutto Scorre" is certified six times platinum. British band The Carnabys are also on the lineup, alongside a number of other artists, including the future winner of the Hard Rock Rising 2014 battle of the bands competition.

The first edition of Hard Rock Live Rome will also mark the last stop of the Hard Rock Rising On the Road Tour, which is currently making its way across the U.K. and Europe. Stopping in a total of 15 cities, the tour invites local bands and emerging artists to perform on a portable stage located in its 10-metre truck.
