Top-notch artists, fans and reality TV stars will be taking over Toronto on Sunday, as the city hosts the 2014 MuchMusic Video Awards.

The show will be broadcast Sunday on MuchMusic, CTV and CTV Go starting at 9 p.m. ET. Starting at 8 p.m. ET, fans can stream the MMVA Red Carpet Special online.

Fans in the city willing to brave the crowds can also head down to 299 Queen St. W to be a part of the fun.

From celebrity hosts to epic arrivals, here's a rundown of five things to watch for during tonight's show:

1) Keeping up with the Jenners

This year, reality TV stars Kylie and Kendall Jenner will be sharing MMVA hosting duties. The sisters, who appear on the show "Keeping up with the Kardashians" along with their famous half-siblings, will take the stage just a few weeks after Kendall hosted the Billboard Music Awards.

During that show, she misread the teleprompter when introducing the boy-band 5 Seconds of Summer, joking that she was "the worst reader."

In a recent interview, the sisters said they couldn’t promise perfection at this year's MMVAs, but said they’d try their best and bring a lot of “fun” to the show.

2) Lorde, Imagine Dragons, Ariana Grande to perform

New Zealand singer Lorde will be one of the performers headlining Sunday's show. The 17-year-old, who picked up two Grammys earlier this year, is also nominated for International Video of the Year for last summer’s smash hit "Royals."

The singer is adored by her fans for speaking honestly and openly in her music and in interviews. She’s also been known to speak out on social media, most recently to draw attention to photos of herself that had been photoshopped.

As for her thoughts about Toronto, it seems the singer is impressed. Take a look at a recent tweet of hers:

Also slated to perform on Sunday are Kiesza, Magic!, Hedley, Ariana Grande, Ed Sheeran and Imagine Dragons.

3) Epic arrivals

Unlike other music award shows, major parts of the MMVAs are held outside, on Queen Street West, one of the city's busiest and most popular streets.

As a result, stars in the past have opted to arrive at the MMVAs in original and outrageous ways. Memorable arrivals in the past include Katy Perry arriving in an ice cream truck in 2010 and Billy Talent arriving in a tank in 2004. Tune into the show starting at 8 p.m. ET. to catch this year's arrivals.

4) Funky fashion, outrageous costumes

Because of the relaxed, party-like atmosphere of the MMVAs, many attending artists opt for funky fashions over glamorous gowns and tuxedos.

From Lady Gaga's flaming bustier bra to Avril Lavigne baring her bare bum, artists have shocked and thrilled fans over the years at the MMVAs with their daring fashion and costume choices.

5) Fan favourites

What makes the MMVAs so special is that most of the performances take place on outdoor stages, meaning anyone who is willing to brave the crowd can take in the show.

Fans can also take part by casting votes for their favourite artists in three different categories: favourite video, favourite artist or group, and favourite international artist or group.

Among the Canadian nominees up for fan-selected awards are: Drake, Justin Bieber, Avril Lavigne, The Weeknd, Hedley and Arcade Fire. International acts vying for your votes include: Lorde, Imagine Dragons, Miley Cyrus, Katy Perry and Selena Gomez.
