Someone in Quebec could soon be collecting a $50-million jackpot after the winning Lotto Max ticket for Friday night’s draw was sold in the province.
The $50-million prize was finally won Friday, after going unclaimed for three weeks.
In total, $100 million was up for grabs in the draw, which is the largest amount of prize money since Lotto Max launched in 2009.
Besides the big jackpot winner, 17 winning tickets for the $1-million prizes were sold. Of the 17, nine were sold in Ontario, three in Quebec and five in the West.
Two other second prizes of $369,267.40 were also sold in Ontario.
