Police are asking for help identifying a man accused of shoving an 81-year-old woman to the ground and stealing her money at a bank in Aurora, Ont.

York Regional Police shared several security camera photos of the suspect on Tuesday.

“This guy pushed an 81-year-old lady to the ground and stole her cash at a bank in Aurora last night,” police said in a tweet that included the hashtag #Unreal.

Police believe the alleged incident happened at a bank ATM at approximately 7:30 p.m. on Monday evening.

The suspect allegedly tried to snatch the woman’s cash out of her hands after she made a withdrawal from an ATM, and when she resisted, he shoved her to the ground and took the money.

Investigators say the suspect fled the scene on foot in an unknown direction.

The woman was treated in hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

The suspect is described as a white male, approximately five-foot-seven inches tall, with a medium build and short, dark hair cropped close on the sides. Photos show him wearing a white T-shirt, dark cargo shorts and sunglasses.
