HALIFAX -- A Halifax man wanted for attempted murder who police have been trying to find for more than two months has been arrested in Toronto.

Police say a 46-year-old man suffered life-threatening injuries on Oct. 21 after being struck with a blunt object during an altercation.

He was released from hospital within a week.

Police issued an arrest warrant for 24-year-old Arnelle Wellington Ellison on Oct. 23.

They say Toronto police arrested the suspect on Tuesday and he was returned to Halifax on Thursday.
