EDMONTON -- A stolen locket that contained the ashes of a baby boy has been found and returned to the family.
Edmonton police say a citizen, who wishes to remain anonymous, saw a news story about the heart-shaped locket and turned it in.
It was identified as the necklace that was in a jewelry box stolen from a southeast Edmonton home last week.
The ashes belong to the homeowner's son, who died at birth in 2011.
Police made a plea through the media earlier this week for help in recovering the irreplaceable locket.
