Prayers and well wishes are pouring in for Gord Downie, after The Tragically Hip announced that the band’s frontman has terminal brain cancer.

The announcement was made Tuesday on Facebook, where the band noted that it had "some very tough news" to share with fans.
The Hip also said that, after 30-some years playing together, they would be embarking on another tour.
"This feels like the right thing to do now, for Gord, and for all of us," the band said. "We're going to dig deep, and try to make this our best tour yet."
As the news spread, fans took to Twitter to wish Downie well and share their favourite memories of the band, many using the hashtag #CourageForGord.
