If the new book "150 Years of Stats Canada!" has anything to teach Canadians, it's that one can effectively make fun of 100 per cent of the country.

Co-authors Julia Davidovich and Eric Taylor have packed the book with one-liners, graphs and numbers-based jokes culled from their satirical Twitter feed and their own minds, as a way of celebrating Canada's 150th anniversary.

"We have a lot of unpublished material but we tried to go with what would ring true for most Canadians, but also tried to tie in the 150 theme," Taylor told CTV's Your Morning on Monday.

Among the Canadian-focused tips in the book are techniques for fending off Canada goose attacks, a look at Tim Hortons' secret menu (which isn't real), and a quiz to determine how Canadian you are.

Davidovich says it's a great book to take with you, no matter where you go. "Take it on a trip," she said. "You can take it to the bathroom with you… If you want to just read some quick jokes."

"It's not associated with the real Statistics Canada, and I guess they have no problem with us using their name," Davidovich said.

The content is largely made up by a team of four writers, including Davidovich and Taylor, who run the Twitter account @Stats_Canada.

"150 Years of Stats Canada!: A Guide to Canada's Greatest Country" is on sale now.
