LAVAL, Que. -- A search will resume Tuesday morning northwest of Montreal for a 23-year-old man who has been missing since a pleasure boat collided with a ferry on Saturday.

The unidentified man was one of nine people from the smaller boat who fell into Riviere-des-Prairie between Laval and Ile Bizard just northwest of the island of Montreal.

Quebec Provincial Police divers assisted the search on Monday but were unsuccessful while Laval police searched the area around the accident site and a marina.

On Sunday, a police helicopter flew over the site but the young man's body was not seen.

Three people from the pleasure craft were taken to hospital with minor injuries.

The Transportation Safety Board has sent in a team to investigate.
