Rogers says it has fully restored service after a nation-wide disruption impacted voice calls and text messaging for its wireless customers Wednesday.

The telecommunications company said outages were reported throughout the country, but data services continued to work.

In a statement, the company apologized to its customers for the inconvenience.

The disruption also affected Fido and chatr customers, along with the Rogers company website.

The company did not say how many customers were affected by the outage.

Throughout Canada, police warned of the disruption and advised Rogers customers to use a landline in emergencies.

One casualty of the disruption was a Brooklyn, N.Y., resident whose Twitter handle happens to be @rogers.

Glenn Rogers was inundated with angry tweets, mistaking him for the Rogers Twitter account.

But he seemed to take it in stride, posting:
