Police are investigating after four Jack Russell puppies were seen being thrown from a moving vehicle near London, Ont.

Authorities said they were contacted when a bystander saw someone pull up by a residential driveway and throw four puppies out of a four-door SUV, on Nov. 10 around 8:10 p.m.

The puppies appeared to be around six to seven weeks old and three of the puppies were said to be seriously injured.

The unknown person took three of the puppies to an emergency veterinarian.

The suspect has yet to be identified but the bystander told police the suspect was driving an early 2000’s black, Ford Explorer with a loud muffler and rusted rims and lower panels.
