Police are investigating after a collection of Wayne Gretzky hockey cards worth as much as $200,000 was stolen from an Ontario man’s home.

“I had like 500 in a binder of Wayne Gretzky right back to when he was six years old, and these two guys came in my house and stole them right off my table,” says Archie Snively of Norfolk County, Ont.

Snively says he invited the men into his home after they expressed interest in buying the cards, many of which are from when The Great One was young.

Snively says the men ran off with the cards after asking him to go downstairs to fetch more.

Snively describes both men as around 40 years old and approximately six feet tall with earrings. He says one has greying hair and one has black hair.

“These guys ripped me off,” he says. “I want these guys locked up.”

Norfolk County OPP are asking anyone with possible information to call them at 1-888-310-1122 or, if they prefer to leave an anonymous tip, to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
