SAINT JOHN, N.B. -- Police in New Brunswick are warning people to be careful about their drinks at public events after two cases of possible tampering.

The Saint John Police Force says there were recent cases involving an unidentified substance possibly being added to drinks.

They say the substance can be odourless and undetectable.

Police say they can cause nausea, dizziness, amnesia and death in some cases.

They're warning students who are starting school not to leave their drinks unattended or accept beverages that could have been tampered with.
