NEW GLASGOW, N.S. -- A Nova Scotia doctor has been charged with voyeurism after staff at his medical clinic were surreptitiously filmed while using the washroom.
New Glasgow Regional Police say 41-year-old Dr. Rafid al-Nassar was arrested Tuesday after they received a complaint about voyeurism at the Westside Medical Centre.
They say people were being filmed in the staff washroom, "in situations where they had an expectation of privacy."
They say the force's major crime unit investigated for nine months and have identified everyone in recordings found in seized electronic devices.
Al-Nassar has been released with strict conditions to appear in Pictou provincial court on Dec. 5.
Police say the investigation continues.
