ANTIGONISH, N.S. -- A growing dispute over lobster prices in Prince Edward Island has boiled over to Nova Scotia.

About 100 lobster fishermen decided to tie up their boats in protest of what they say are poor prices for their catch during a meeting Wednesday in Antigonish, N.S.

The fishermen work along the eastern part of the Northumberland Strait.

Fishermen say they were making $4.75 for market-sized lobster when their season opened late last month, but the price has since dropped to $4.

They say they won't catch lobster today or Friday, at which point they'll plan their next move.

The season wraps up at the end of June.

Fishermen in P.E.I. blockaded ports Wednesday in demand for higher prices.
