An 18-year-old man who was wanted on a Canada-wide warrant has been arrested in connection with the death of a young man in Moncton last month.

Police arrested Tyler Noel on Saturday afternoon after tracking him down in a vehicle in Peticodiac, N.B.

Noel was charged with first-degree murder and arson in connection with the death of 18-year-old Baylee Wylie, who was found dead after a house fire in Moncton on Dec. 17. Police described the incident as “extremely violent.”

Authorities continue to search for 20-year-old Marissa Shephard, who is also charged with first-degree murder and arson.

She is described as white, 5-foot-5 with brown hair and brown eyes. She has a tattoo with the name “Stephen” on her neck and a tattoo of a crown on her chest.

Police say Shephard is considered armed and dangerous and that she should not be approached.

“What’s important now is if anyone knows the whereabouts of Marissa Shephard or sees her, to contact the RCMP, Crime Stoppers and 911 right away,” said Sgt. Harry Brown of the Codiac RCMP.

A third suspect, 18-year-old Devin Morningstar, was arrested and charged with first-degree murder a few days after the deadly fire.
