WINNIPEG - A fundraiser is being held for a Manitoba girl critically injured when her father's truck was hit by a train.

Taylor Piskor and her father, Peter, were driving home from Taylor's hockey game on Jan. 10 when their truck was hit by a train near Elie, west of Winning.

Todd Edwards, a spokesman for the family, says Taylor has extensive injuries and remains in critical condition.

Edwards says Peter also sustained injuries to his back and needed surgery for a broken arm.

An exhibition game will be held Thursday between Taylor's team, the Capitals, and the Rangers, to raise money for her and her family.

The event will take place at the Notre Dame arena at 6:15 p.m.
