Fort McMurray residents fleeing a ferocious wildfire are sharing jaw-dropping footage of their escapes through what resembled apocalypse-like conditions.
An estimated 80,000 people have fled the municipality on a mandatory evacuation order that was expanded late Wednesday night.

Residents travelling on the main highway out of the city captured footage of towering trees being devoured by flames, while burning debris fell onto the roadway.
