MONTREAL -- A bail hearing has begun for two Montreal teens who face terrorism-related charges.
El Mahdi Jamali and Sabrine Djermane are both in court today as are members of their respective families.
The two are charged with attempting to leave Canada to commit a terror act abroad; possession of an explosive substance; facilitating a terrorist act; and committing an act under the direction or for the profit of a terrorist organization.
The Crown has said previously it opposes bail because it deems the accused to be flight risks and a danger to the public.
Three days have been set aside for the hearing before Quebec court Judge Robert Sansfacon.
Both accused have new lawyers representing them today.
A publication ban has been granted on the evidence being presented.
