FALMOUTH, N.S. -- RCMP say an American woman has been killed in a head-on crash on Nova Scotia's Highway 101.

Police say the 24-year-old woman from New Jersey was the only occupant of a minivan that collided today with a large produce delivery truck.

She died at the scene near Falmouth.

The driver of the truck sustained minor injuries.

Sgt. Al LeBlanc says it appears the minivan was heading west when it collided with the truck, which was travelling in the opposition direction.

He says the highway was wet at the time, but investigators do not believe road conditions were a factor in the crash.
