CALGARY -- A 29-year-old Alberta woman has been charged with second-degree murder in the death of a toddler.
Mounties say the two-year-old boy died in a Calgary hospital on Sept. 25, 2014.
Police say the child was in the care of the woman when he was admitted to hospital seven days earlier.
The woman, who resides on the Tsuu T'ina First Nation, was arrested last Friday.
She was scheduled to appear in court Tuesday morning.
Police aren't releasing the woman's name.
