TORONTO -- The Canadian dollar was little-changed and North American stock markets were up Friday morning.

The loonie was down 0.05 of a U.S. cent, falling to 75.04 cents US.

The S&P/TSX index in Toronto was up 115.24 oints at 13,453.91.

The Dow Jones average of 30 stocks was up 191.12points at 16,392.44, the broader S&P 500 index advanced 15.38 points to 1,947.62 and the Nasdaq futures gained 26.88 points to 4,763.36.

On the commodity markets, the December gold contract fell $9.60 to US$1,144.20 an ounce, the November crude contract was up 65 cents at US$45.56 a barrel and the November contract for natural gas was down six cents at US$2.61.
