WATERLOO, Ont. - Hot on the heels of its $98 million fourth quarter profit, the boss at BlackBerry is talking about the company's big plans for the future.

Blackberry will soon release the Q-10 smartphone -- its follow-up the new Z-10.

The Q-10 will feature a much desired hard keyboard.

But CEO Thorsten Heins says Blackberry won't be stopping there.

He says the company needs to build up a portfolio of products to stay relevant, and to that end, plans to unveil a broader array of new smartphones this year.

Heins adds that he remains keenly aware of the stumbles BlackBerry made in the past when it was called Research In Motion.

Its former leaders allowed innovation to fall by the wayside, as competitors surged ahead.
