LACEY, Wash. -- A Washington state company is recalling more than 100 tons of dried egg products over concerns about salmonella contamination.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture says the products from Nutriom LLC of Lacey, Wash., were shipped nationwide and to American military bases abroad as well as to Canada, mostly under the "OvaEasy" brand.

There have been no reports of illness. The recall was issued Saturday as a Class 1 recall, meaning it carries a high health risk.

Symptoms of salmonella-related illness include diarrhea, abdominal cramps, and fever within 12 to 72 hours after eating the contaminated product. The illness usually lasts 4 to 7 days, and most people recover without treatment.
