Traffic was brought to a halt on Highway 400 near Bradford early Saturday evening after an intense vehicle fire in the southbound direction. Photos supplied to CTV News show a Mercedes Benz sedan pulled over on the right shoulder with its hood completely engulfed in flames. The incident happened at around 7 p.m. in the southbound direction just before the 5th line exit. The OPP confirmed to CTV News that no injuries were reported. Bradford’s fire chief told CTV News that the fire began in the car’s engine compartment, and that two apparatus were involved in the response.
