An early-morning transport truck fire closed all northbound lanes of Highway 400 in Bradford. Provincial police and Innisfil firefighters closed the three lanes of traffic at Highway 88 as they worked to extinguish the blazing truck. The trailer itself was not on fire, said Steve Hall, spokesperson for Bradford West Gwillimbury. “Only the tractor was one fire and (the trailer) was contained by the (fire) crew to that unit,” Hall said. By 9 a.m. two lanes had been reopened and police were waiting for a heavy tow truck to remove the tractor, and trucks to salt the road. The entire road is expected to open before noon. Police say there were no injuries and no charges will be laid. Download the CTV News app to get local alerts on your device Get the latest local updates sent to your email inbox
