Vintage Volkswagen enthusiasts will have their attention focused on Denmark on May 28th, when someone will place the winning bid on a pristine condition 1974 Beetle with just 90 km on the odometer.

The car is basically in brand-new condition cosmetically, and has barely seen any driving.

The 1303 model Beetle was registered new in Italy by an eldery man who used it solely to get to a nearby church and back, according to Silverstone Auctions.

Armando Sgroi rust-proofed the car and only used it about four years before he became physically incapable of driving. So he parked it, and only now is it surfacing for sale.

The car not only still has its original tires, it has the original engine oil in the block.

Silverstone will be selling it at their Classic Race Aarhus auction, and expect it to go for the equivalent of $50,000 or more.
