The cabriolet version of Mercedes-Benz's executive sedan will make its global debut at next month's Geneva Motor Show.

However, despite combining all of the best elements of the sedan and coupé versions of the vehicle and adding to them with wind-in-the-hair driving, the new E-Class Cabriolet could struggle to stand out, even on its own stand.

Mercedes will be bringing a massive 34 different vehicles to Geneva including new special editions of the SL and SLC plus the already revealed Mercedes-Maybach G650 Landaulet.

The company is also promising a specially designed show car developed in partnership with AMG that in Mercedes' own words "Provides a glimpse of the future of performance."

To find out what exactly that future looks like, automotive fans will only have to wait until March 9 when this year's show opens its doors officially.
