A two-vehicle collision shut down part of a busy Halifax street Wednesday afternoon. Around 3 p.m., Halifax Regional Police was called to the 6400 block of Quinpool Road. Quinpool between Elm and Oxford streets was closed to pedestrian and vehicle traffic. Police had asked the public to avoid the area and to take alternate routes to avoid delays while officers were on scene. The collision resulted in a power outage in the area. Nova Scotia Power said crews had to replace a broken pole. Power has since been restored. The same intersection saw a three-car collision last month. Police have not yet said what caused the crash or whether anyone was injured. For more Nova Scotia news, visit our dedicated provincial page
