A fire in Dartmouth late Saturday night resulted in a fuel spill. According to Halifax Regional Fire and Emergency (HRFE), firefighters responded to a report of smoke in the area of Mount Hope Avenue around 11 p.m. When crews arrived, they found three large transport trucks on fire near a building on Orion Court. Firefighters were able to stop the fire from spreading to the nearby building. HRFE said its hazmat team was brought in due to a fuel spill created from the trucks’ ruptured fuel tanks. No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation. For more Nova Scotia news, visit our dedicated provincial page
