RV, home total losses after Lakeville, N.S., fire

A fire tore through an RV and a home in Kings County, N.S., on Tuesday.

An RV and a home are believed to be total losses following a fire in Nova Scotia’s Kings County Tuesday morning.

The Kentville Volunteer Fire Department responded to the scene on North Bishop Road in Lakeville around 8:30 a.m.

The department also received aid from Waterville, New Minas and Port Williams fire crews.

Kentville Fire Chief Scott Hamilton says the fire started in the RV and spread to the adjacent home.

Five occupants of the RV and the home escaped the fire. They were assessed at scene by EHS and no one was injured.

The cause is believed to be electrical.
