Fire destroys three campers in Nova Scotia’s Annapolis Valley

A fire destroyed three trailers at a campground in Annapolis County, N.S.

A fire destroyed three camper-trailers in Nova Scotia’s Annapolis Valley on Wednesday.

Kevin Ernest, public relations representative with the Waterville and District Fire Department, said crews were called to a camper on fire at the R&R Campground on West Steadman Road in Grafton around 12:42 p.m.

Crews found three campers on fire and one damaged with a melting exterior. The fire spread to the grass behind the trailers, but only minimally.

Teams from Kentville and Berwick helped with the operation.

There were no reported injuries but the three campers were a total loss.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
