NEW YORK - Ailing "Law & Order: SVU" star Mariska Hargitay should be back on the case soon.

The Emmy-winning actress "is recovering well and is expected to return to 'SVU' in the next couple of weeks," spokesman Gary Mantoosh said Tuesday.

Hargitay was hospitalized last week after feeling discomfort from a partially collapsed lung, a condition she has had at least since mid-January, when it was made public by the show's producers.

She is expected to miss filming just one episode, said Mantoosh, who declined to say whether she remains hospitalized.

The 45-year-old Hargitay won an Emmy in 2006 for her role as detective Olivia Benson on the NBC police drama, which is now in its 10th season.
