2. Fort McMurray anniversary: Fort McMurray residents are marking the one-year anniversary of a deadly, destructive wildfire that tore through their community. Dubbed 'The Beast,' the blaze destroyed 10 per cent of the homes in the city and led to the city being evacuated on May 3, 2016. Local psychiatrists say requests for mental health support in the city have spiked almost 3,000 per cent in the last year.
