A youth accused of stabbing a Calgary police dog during an arrest faces charges under a new section of the criminal code which carries penalties of up to five years in prison. 4. Police dog stabbed. A Calgary police dog named Jester underwent surgery and is in stable condition after a break-and-enter suspect stabbed the German shepherd several times, police said.
