Happy Friday!

Here are 5 things to know this morning as you wrap up your work week: Prime Minister Justin Trudeau's top two staffers are reimbursing some expenses; the countdown is on until the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge arrive in Canada on Saturday; a Liberal cabinet minister has a revelation about her place of birth; former cabinet minister Jason Kenney is officially resigning today; and Yahoo is in damage control after revealing it was hit by possibly the largest hack of all time.

Plus for today's Flashback Friday, a look back at the last time a Royal couple touched down in Canada.

1. Rules 'not always enough': Prime Minister Justin Trudeau's top two staffers are reimbursing some of the expenses they claimed for their moves to Ottawa, they said in a Facebook post Thursday evening.

2. Prepping for a royal arrival: The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge begin their one-week tour of British Columbia and the Yukon on Saturday, with a visit to Victoria. CTV News will have full coverage complete with photo galleries, a live blog, behind-the-scenes looks at the visit, and interactive maps.

3. It's complicated: Cabinet minister Maryam Monsef, who has frequently been touted as Canada's first Afghan-born member of Parliament, now concedes she was actually born in Iran.

4. Goodbye: Conservative MP Jason Kenney officially says goodbye to the House of Commons with his resignation set to formally take effect today. Kenney – the former minister of citizenship and immigration – is running for the leadership of the Alberta Conservative party.

5. Major hack: Yahoo's announcement of a major hack, getting sensitive information from 500 million accounts – which has been called the largest breach of all time to a single email provider – couldn't come at a worse time for the company, which is in the midst of being sold to Verizon.

And one more thing for "Flashback Friday": The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge visited Canada for the first time from 2011. It was their first foreign trip as a married couple, just two months after their wedding. In anticipation of their second tour from Sept. 24-Oct. 1, here's a look back at highlights from their first visit.
