Happy Friday!

Here are 5 things to know this morning as you wrap up your work week: Andre De Grasse claimed a silver in the men's 200m final last night; a cab driver who picked up a terrorist suspect is questioning the decisions police made; the federal Liberals are heading off for their third cabinet retreat this weekend; RCMP are investigating an unusual fatal plane crash; and a Georgia woman whose legs were paralyzed in a skydiving accident walked down the aisle for her wedding.

Plus for Flashback Friday, we take a look back at the day a Quebec man on the hunt for his health history got the surprise of his life when he also found a long-lost sister.

1. Silver second: Andre De Grasse finished just behind Jamaica’s Usain Bolt in the 200-metre final, on a big day for Canada that also saw Erica Wiebe take gold in wrestling and triumphantly carry her coach on her shoulders.

2. 'I'm just the driver!' The cab driver who picked up a man suspected of plotting an attack on a major Canadian city is questioning why police didn’t stop the terrorist sympathizer from getting in his cab, saying his life was in jeopardy.

3. Cheap retreat: Liberal cabinet members will be heading to Sudbury's Laurentian University in a stark departure from the government's previous two retreats, which were held at luxury resorts. The two day retreat kicks off on Sunday.

4. Mysterious crash: RCMP are investigating a mysterious fatal plane crash, involving a plane allegedly stolen from an airport in the Greater Toronto Area. Police say the theft of a plane is "very rare."

5. Dancing again: A Georgia woman whose legs were paralyzed in a diving accident overcame the odds and walked down the aisle and stood beside her husband to say, "I do." Jacquie Goncher went through eight years of rehab until she could leave her wheelchair behind.

And one more thing for "Flashback Friday": On this day in 2011, 50-year-old a Montreal man Neil Schwartzman discovered he had a long-lost sister while researching his medical history online. Schwartzman had been separated from sister Jolie Pearl since he was put up for adoption at just 10 days old.
