Here are the five things you need to know this Wednesday: New Zealand police say they have identified two missing Quebec hikers in the debris of an avalanche; Windows 10 hits the web today, and can be downloaded for free; polling numbers don’t look good for the Liberal Party in the upcoming election; Edmonton RCMP think they might be dealing with a serial killer; and an eight-year-old boy from Baltimore is the youngest patient to undergo a remarkable surgery.

Plus for "Dream Big Wednesday,” a ship that sank off the coast of Cyprus more than three decades ago has become a premier spot for divers.

1. Bodies identified: New Zealand police say they have identified two bodies found in debris from an avalanche as two missing Quebec hikers. Louis-Vincent and Etienne Lemieux had been reported missing by their families on July 25 after they attempted to hike the Kepler Track in New Zealand.

2. Free Windows 10: Starting today, Microsoft is offering free downloads of its new operating system. The company promises a familiar experience for Windows 7 users, many of whom refused to upgrade to Windows 8. (In case you’re wondering, the company skipped Windows 9 altogether.)

3. NDP, Conservatives rise as Liberals slump: The numbers are looking good for the NDP and Tom Mulcair. For the ninth week in a row, the party sits atop the Nanos Party Power Index. However the Liberal Party is seeing some of its lowest polling numbers in two years, with support seemingly dwindling for Justin Trudeau.

4. Serial killer? Edmonton RCMP say the fact that a fourth women’s body was found within an eight-kilometre radius in a rural area suggests the may be dealing with a “serial predator.” Two of the women went missing in 2003, one in 2004 and the fourth in 2010.

5. Surgical success: An eight-year-old boy from Baltimore, Md., became the youngest patient to receive a double-hand transplant earlier this month. Zion Harvey, who lost the limbs to a serious infection years ago, had his new hands surgically attached during an 11-hour operation. The feat required a 40-person medical team to attach the limbs.

And one more thing for “Dream Big Wednesday”…

A shipwreck dubbed the “Titanic of the Mediterranean” has become a hotspot for divers looking to experience a unique dive in a sunken ship.
